I was there yesterday and the day before. It's not a patch on the hot house in Capetown, but it's the only one in Joburg, so what can a guy do? The location is not good - it's fairly far out of town. If you are like me, a carless tourist, it means staying nearby, but there is not much nearby - no restaurants, shopping mall 5 km away.....
Anyway, it is quite dark, but then most such places are. The prices are very reasonable. Also found the condom container, next to the individual rooms/cells. The lockers don't have locks, though you can buy or borrow one. On the second night I used my own luggage lock and it seems, promptly left it there...
The small sauna is the best cruising place. Found a guy there on the first night (between 9 pm and 11.30), but when he discovered I'm a transman (exwoman with no cock) he closed up his legs just as I was about to go down on him. Not much more action that night. The next night (between 5 and 10 pm), a Saturday night, it seemed very slow. Finally picked up a guy of my own age (fifties) and we had riotous fun together; would have been even better if he had got hard. Beyond that did not have any action. There were also few sounds of people who were having fun, so it was not all that arousing.
There is a no-towel zone. First night I was too scared to go into it, what with my body, second night I braved it, but nothing much happened. Also went into the steam room. One part of the no towel zone seems to have a swing, but it's so dark that it is difficult to see anything. I could spot a white guy in it; had it been a dark-skinned person I would probably not have noticed.
The indoor jacuzzis were either not working, or a distinct shade of grey; the outdoor one was busier. Clientele was between 18 and about 70 - all ages.
